Let’s get this show on the road shall we! Fresh blog, fresh project. 
Right, so in order for me not to fail my degree, I got a lot more work to undertake to bring some marky-marks up from somewhere. Inorder to do this, along with finishing the edit for the main FMP project, I am going to undertake a MOFILM brief.. more specifically, the Kodak brief caught my attention rather vividly.
After reading the brief, I am usually quite stumped by some of the language used. Why use massive words when simple ones do just as good of a job? But this time it sunk in well and I totally got the idea from it straight away. So straight away I had q strong idea and a not so strong idea instantly pop into my head. The only problem with that, although it might be a good idea (or indeed bad) I had the same feelings with a previous live brief I undertook this year, and that didn’t exactly end well or at all.
So, my plan for this weekend is to storyboard the buggers and maybe get a very basic animatic on the go. I also hope I can buy a Kodak Zi8 for one of 2, possibly three reasons. Reason 1 is because I’ve wanted one since my birthday! Reason 2 is that in the brief they state that, although it’s not obligatory, that technically only Kodak branded products can feature in the video. Even down to the clothing people are wearing, no designers or brands/logos on show. And reason 3 is a possible because, well… I want to shoot something serious on a Zi8. The quality the camera outputs has been stated to be on par with £500 semi-professional HD cam corders. Well, more professional than a Flip HD is.. But, I thought it would be cool to film a Kodak advert on a Kodak.
But yeah, I want to address a few flaws with my idea’s before I start to spill the beans. I’d rather it sound pretty awesome than sound pretty cack. First impressions are vital!
